1. Who this policy is for
MINDARAE TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED ("MINDARAE", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Glowhiz product. Glowhiz is a wellness and self-awareness companion for compatible smart rings. This policy applies to www.glowhiz.com, the Glowhiz mobile app, and related public product resources unless a page states otherwise.
Glowhiz and its companion ring support everyday sleep, activity, and workout tracking for general wellness and lifestyle reference. The information is not for diagnosis, treatment, or medical decisions and does not replace professional medical advice. Glowhiz does not provide emergency services.
2. Glowhiz does not require an account
The current app does not require a Glowhiz account and does not provide a cloud health dashboard. Glowhiz does not upload your ring health data or the personal records you create in the app—such as journal text, notes, photos, or voice recordings—to Glowhiz or MINDARAE servers. We do not sell personal information, use cross-app advertising identifiers, or run advertising analytics in the current app.
3. Information handled on your phone
The app may access and store the following locally so that its features work:
- Ring and wellness data: supported sleep duration and stages, heart-rate samples, activity and step summaries, workout records and available workout measurements, timestamps, data-quality states, and ring connection details such as battery, firmware, and hardware information.
- Your content: journal text, notes, photos you choose, and voice recordings you make in Dialogue.
- Optional personal profile: nickname, birth year, height, weight, and maximum heart-rate settings used for personal preferences and workout features.
- App state: preferences, selected units and language, device binding state, local product-normalized cache, and downloaded mindfulness catalog or audio cache.
These records are stored in the app's local storage, not uploaded to a Glowhiz health account. Existing device or app history may also be received or retained locally for compatibility. Keeping historical records does not make them available as features in the current version, and those records are not uploaded to our servers.
When you explicitly save profile changes while a ring is bound, changed, non-empty age, height, and weight values may be sent to the ring over Bluetooth to support its calculations. Age is calculated from your birth year; the birth year itself, your nickname, and your maximum heart-rate setting stay on the phone. This device communication is not an upload to Glowhiz or MINDARAE servers.
When you choose to save or share a workout summary image, the app passes the image to your photo library, a file location, or an app you select through system controls. Journal text, personal photos, and voice recordings are not automatically included. Any receiving app or service handles the copy according to its own policies. These user-directed actions are separate from Glowhiz's local storage and do not upload the records to our servers.
4. Permissions and device access
- Bluetooth: used to discover, connect, bind, reconnect, and sync a compatible ring.
- Camera and Photos: used when you choose to take or select a photo for a personal moment. Saving a workout summary image on iOS may request permission to add to Photos. Android uses the system file picker to save workout images. Sharing uses the system share controls and does not require granting Glowhiz access to another app's contents.
- Microphone: used only when you choose to record a voice note.
- Notifications: used for optional reminders when you allow them.
- Location permission on older Android versions: Android 11 and earlier may require location permission for legacy Bluetooth scanning compatibility. Android 12 and later use nearby-device Bluetooth permissions instead. Glowhiz does not read phone location, create a location history, or upload GPS coordinates for the current product flow.
The current iOS app does not request location permission, use phone location, create a location history, or upload phone location. Glowhiz does not currently access Apple Health or Health Connect.
You can change or revoke permissions in your device settings. Revoking a permission may disable the related feature while leaving other local features available.
5. Public resources and server logs
During normal app use, product network requests are limited to downloading the public mindfulness catalog, manifests, and selected audio resources through app-managed HTTPS requests to the Glowhiz resource service at res.glowhiz.com. These requests do not include your ring health data, journal text, notes, photos, voice recordings, or device binding details. The Profile privacy link may open the public policy page in your system browser when you choose it. The app requests versioned resource paths; the root domain is not intended as a standalone browsing page. The website and resource server may receive ordinary operational information such as IP address, request time, requested path, response status, user agent, referrer, and basic connection information in server access logs.
These logs are used for security, availability, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Access is restricted to site operations, and logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by law. The exact retention period depends on the applicable server operations policy. The logs are not used to build a health profile or to associate ring data with a named account.
6. Retention and deletion
You can delete supported journal and workout entries in the app. Other local app records remain until you remove them through an available app action, clear app data where supported by the operating system, or uninstall the app. Mindfulness downloads may be automatically evicted to manage cache space. Unbinding a ring does not delete your local history. When you explicitly replace a ring, its old synced wellness cache is cleared from the app.
Uninstalling Glowhiz or clearing its app data does not erase ring memory or copies already saved to Photos, exported to files, or shared with another app or person. You need to delete those copies separately in their respective locations. Device and system backup retention is controlled by your operating-system settings, not by Glowhiz.
If you contact us, we retain the message and contact details only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide support, protect our rights, or meet legal obligations. Public operational logs follow the applicable server operations policy described above.
7. Security and international processing
We use local-first storage, access controls, HTTPS for public resource downloads, and ordinary operational safeguards appropriate to the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Our company and service providers may operate in different countries. When technical support, hosting, or legal obligations require information to cross borders, we take reasonable steps to handle it under applicable law. Because the current app has no Glowhiz account or cloud health sync, ring health records are not routinely transferred to our servers.
8. Children
Glowhiz is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. Please do not use the service or send us personal information if you are not permitted to do so.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product, permissions, data flows, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date above and publish the new version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in the app or release materials where appropriate.
